brooke and derekAre you surprised that Brooke Burke and partner Derek Hough won the seventh season of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ last night? Brooke and Derek sure were: “Unbelievable!” they gushed in unison.

The actress and former ‘Rock Star’ host showed she had the skills and combined them with ambitious dance routines with Derek to take home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

heidi and spencerFame whores Spencer Pratt and the chick that Lauren Conrad doesn’t like, Heidi Montag, have eloped. ‘The Hills’ couple, whose every move is planned and scripted in their “reality” life, got hitched in an ultra private wedding ceremony held on November 20. Really, it wasn’t planned. And pigs can fly!

The shallow couple was then awarded with the Us Weekly cover - because despite the fact that it was spur-of-the-moment, there was photographer conveniently handy to record the special event!

shatnerWith the cases finally closed on ‘Boston Legal,’ William Shatner is moving on to a new gig, a Biography Channel talk show called ‘Raw Nerve.’ And he can’t wait to have on George Takei so he can finally discover what’s really bugging the forever jealous Takei.

“George has been mean to me for a long time — I mean, decades and decades,” Shatner said in a recent YouTube video. “I’m not mad at him. I’m just annoyed that he keeps saying mean things about me … I just wish he’d stop.”

charlie sheenFormer playboy Charlie Sheen seems to be having a hard time being happily married no matter which wife he’s currently with. He’s in trouble again; this time he’s denying he got lap dances from strippers while at the Spearmint Rhino Club in Las Vegas.

According to Star magazine, Sheen and Spin City star Michael Boatman partied at Privé with some sweet young thangs. Charlie blasts the claims of lap dances as “inaccurate.” Well, that’s kinda like a denial.

jennifer espositoGorgeous Jennifer Esposito, who plays the party lush on the hit TV show “Samantha Who?,” says she can relate to the character’s wild ways, even though she doesn’t mirror Andrea in real life.

“I have a blast playing her,” Esposito told the Daily News. “She just says what’s on her mind, and it’s so fun to be just that completely uninhibited in life. She just lives every day like it’s all a party.”

chace‘Gossip Girl’ heartthrob Chace Crawford says he’s terrified of being typecast and doesn’t want to be thought of as just a hunk. His alter-ego on the show, Nate Archibald, relies on his good looks and money to get by, but Chase wants to be taken seriously as an actor.

He tells Vman magazine, “There are a lot of adverse effects of being a certain type, which I am. I wouldn’t be in the business if I didn’t feel I had what it takes to have longevity. Everyone has a certain castability, or quality, they’re always going to have to fight.”

sarah palinThe most telling thing about Gov. Sarah Palin’s brief stint on ‘Saturday Night Live’ was that Tina Fey was smart enough NOT to stand next to the hottie politician who is way prettier than Tina - a fact duly noted by Alec Baldwin.

SNL, which has been a craptastic mess for years, has seen strong ratings the past few weeks with Tina-as-Sarah skits, but it’s ratings were the highest they’ve been in 15 years when they got the real thing to come on the show. Palin’s brief, hardly there visit drew in a late night audience of more than 17 million views, the biggest night the show has had since March, 1994.

gale haroldDesperate Housewives actor Gale Harold is reportedly hospitalized in “critical but stable condition” following a motorcycle accident. He publicist initially only confirmed that the actor, who plays the boyfriend of Teri Hatcher’s character, had fractured one of his shoulders.

It was Housewives creator Marc Cherry though, who confirmed later that Harold has swelling on the brain. Cherry stated that the actor is expected to recover fully after “a couple of weeks.”

lauren conradEven being paid $75,000 an episode isn’t enough to keep Lauren Conrad interested in doing MTV’s ‘The Hills’ for much long. She explains to Extra: “It’s coming to a point where I love this show so much, but I’m ready to kind of walk away. I’ve been doing it for five years now. Five years on TV is a really, really long time.”

Because five years at the same job is like, really, really long for a 22-year-old. After all, she’s doing a scripted TV gig where all you do is air kiss and make up with Heidi (or not) and ramble on vacuously about fashion!

simon cowellYou’d guess that Simon Cowell makes a ton of money off of “American Idol” and rightly so - it’s his baby. He’s the judge and producer and final say of what happens on the hit show. But can you imagine making $36 million (GBP11.9 million) a year for watching someone else give their all on live TV?

It sounds like his fellow judges think that’s way out of whack - consider they are taking home much smaller paychecks.
