It goes to show that you can’t believe everything you read on the Internet. Case in point was the hoax that was launched last Friday that teen superstar Miley Cyrus was killed in a car accident on her way to the set of a Hannah Montana movie.

Not true, yet many in the mainstream media fell for it - including the clowns at Yahoo and Digg and often inaccurate Wikipedia which allowed the stories and updates to be posted without any check on sources.
